Privacy and personal data

We take your privacy very seriously. In order to ensure access to and the full functionality of the eLearning platform Moodle, specific personal information about you is necessary.

What data is collected? 

As you use Moodle, information about the courses, activities and resources you interact with will also be stored and linked to your profile information. 

Each access to Moodle as well as viewing of files will be protocolled.  The following data are generated and used exclusively to find and correct system errors.

  • Time and date 

  • IP-address of the calling system 

  • URL and/or file that is accessed 

  • HTTP status code 

  • Amount of transmitted data (in Bytes) 

  • "Referrer" address if available 

  • Browser type if available 

Access to the protocolled data is limited exclusively to the Moodle System Administrators.  
Moodle's internal messaging system may not be used for commercial purposes. 

How long is my data stored?

Your personal data is stored as long as you are enrolled in one or more Moodle online courses on this site. Course data is deleted 2 years after the end date for each course and profile information will be deleted when an account has not been accessed for 12 consecutive months.
